Coursiers who have completed the basic level of sport climbing courses can join this course. A minimum of 2 days is suggested. It includes, in addition to the basic level contents: Definition of lead climbing and basic lead climb systems. Introduction to lead climbing. Belaying for lead climbing. Using quickdraws and clipping positions. Definition of fall factor. Anchor point safety procedures. Communication between the climber and the belayer. Cleaning the route and rappelling down.
